This was one of the most enjoyable vacation time ever! My husband and I were looking for a relaxing, peaceful home that we could enjoy time spent discovering the Oregon coast and we found it at Puma point (Waldsport, OR). The condo is exactly as described—great views, garage, well stock for cooking and enjoying peaceful evenings at home while also being in central location within 15 min close to small market and variety of good restaurants within 10-30 min from house if  you chose to eat out.  The host/hostess were gracious in their hospitality and well knowledgeable about where to go/see. They put together their own webpage to help you sort through details on restaurants, sightseeing, hiking and shopping sorted by location in central coast. It was like having a concierge on-site! We definitely recommend this vacation spot hope to come back again soon!

A gem on the Oregon coast. I’m a little hesitant to post this review because it’s kind of like finding the perfect campsite that you don’t want to share. Gary and Kathleen’s condo is truly a gem from the moment you step inside and see the homemade jam on the counter, you just feel comfortable and at home, and the views are amazing from the Alsea Bridge and bay from the balcony side to the ocean view from the kitchen and bedroom. The place is beautifully decorated and well equipped with a comfortable bed. We have stayed here twice now and will definitely be back. Highly recommend...oh, and don't forget to ask Gary for a signed copy of his book.

I recently stayed at Kathleen and Gary's Puma Point condo and it was everything I hoped it would be - beautiful views of the bay and ocean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, lots of light, and had everything I needed or might need. The deck right off the living room is also a great place to relax or enjoy a meal. Kathleen and Gary are great hosts that are there when you need them, but also provide you privacy. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful location on the Oregon Coast. Views from apartment matched the lovely interior. Owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and inviting. Kitchen has all you could need and then some to make full meals. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. The river views from the balcony and ocean views from bedroom are both wonderful. Owners Gary and Kathleen are friendly and welcoming. Excellent location to traverse the many beautiful sites along the Oregon Coast. Would highly recommend this peaceful escape.

Puma Point (hosted by Kathleen and Gary) has been hands down the best short term rental we have ever stayed at. We stayed here for about a week.

Let's start with the space itself. It is incredibly well decorated and comfortable. Most short term rentals are a bit uncomfortable and you can't wait to sleep in your own bed, but not here. You get a plush bed that makes you dread going back home. The kitchen is well stocked. The entire space was immaculate, clean and just relaxing to spend time in.

Now let's focus on the hosts. I could vouch for them all day long. They are not only kind, but they will go above and beyond to make sure everything is up to your standards.

Lastly the location. Waldport is very close to many beautiful beaches and hikes. The closest beach is about a 2 minute drive, and it's a great beach (I have a 2 year old and we went down there at least 3 times).

Honestly if you have read this far into the review, congratulations! Now go and book with Kathleen and Gary, you will have an incredible time.

Love our stays at Puma point! This is a special place on the Oregon coast. It is one of our favorites. Great central location to explore the coast. Governor Patterson Beach is very close. This is an easily accessible beach with no steep climb or steps. This beach is our personal favorite beach of the coast and we have visited many. Puma Point provides a beautiful view of the Pacific, Patterson Beach, Alsea Bay and the Alsea Bridge. There is a small private deck off the living room with seating and a BBQ grill. Love watching the seals sunning themselves at low tide on the sand bars near the bridge. The condo is lovely and well stocked with all kitchen and other needs. A plus is that you have access to your own one car garage. Kathleen and Gary are gracious hosts that make the stay even better. We will definitely return for future stays.

The condo is lovely and has a beautiful view of bridge, bay and ocean. The Hosts are kind, thoughtful, responsive, and gracious. There isn’t a detail left out in the condo, fully equip with every convenience of home & more (includes a private deck & garage). The place is tastefully decorated, comfortable, and very relaxing. The condo is located between Newport and Yachats, with easy access to the beach, bay, restaurants, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and so much more. We've stayed at Puma Point multiple times. Just finished another weekend at the apartment, yet again, was fantastic! Well furnished, super comfortable king size bed, full kitchen and bathroom. Kathleen and Gary provide kitchen essentials, a jar of homemade jam, q-tips, makeup wipes, etc. The things I seem to always forget. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is also great for our longer stays. This morning, we watched eagles fly near our private balcony. We'll be back again!!!

This beautiful and well-appointed condo is even better in person with panoramic views including the ocean from the large bedroom. Absolutely beautiful coastal property with amazing views of Alsea Bay and the Pacific, Puma Point is the epitome of what every traveler is looking for: comfort, style and location. The suite is well appointed starting with the kitchen (top end appliances, cookware, and all the little extras necessary to cook any meal) and carries on to the bathroom and bedroom ( very comfortable king size bed). Kathleen and Gary, our hosts, have done the next to impossible in delivering an actual experience that exceeds any photo. You even have access to your own enclosed garage space! If we could give more than 5 stars we would!!!!

Puma point is probably one of the best places we have ever stayed. The pictures don’t begin to do it justice. The home is immaculate and well appointed and the hosts are delightful, if you can stay absolutely make the booking. We explored the coast from the central location, tide pooling at low tide, golfing, and don’t miss us Dune buggy tour in Florence. It’s awesome.

We are approaching 200 vacation rentals and this is our favorite. Gary and Kathleen are wonderful hosts. This rental is very upscale and the attention to detail is outstanding. The location is perfect and the view is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need to make this a home away from home has been provided. We have spent a week here each summer for the past five years and we have not done that with any other property.
