Puma Point (hosted by Kathleen and Gary) has been hands down the best short term rental we have ever stayed at. We stayed here for about a week.

Let's start with the space itself. It is incredibly well decorated and comfortable. Most short term rentals are a bit uncomfortable and you can't wait to sleep in your own bed, but not here. You get a plush bed that makes you dread going back home. The kitchen is well stocked. The entire space was immaculate, clean and just relaxing to spend time in.

Now let's focus on the hosts. I could vouch for them all day long. They are not only kind, but they will go above and beyond to make sure everything is up to your standards.

Lastly the location. Waldport is very close to many beautiful beaches and hikes. The closest beach is about a 2 minute drive, and it's a great beach (I have a 2 year old and we went down there at least 3 times).

Honestly if you have read this far into the review, congratulations! Now go and book with Kathleen and Gary, you will have an incredible time.

Love our stays at Puma point! This is a special place on the Oregon coast. It is one of our favorites. Great central location to explore the coast. Governor Patterson Beach is very close. This is an easily accessible beach with no steep climb or steps. This beach is our personal favorite beach of the coast and we have visited many. Puma Point provides a beautiful view of the Pacific, Patterson Beach, Alsea Bay and the Alsea Bridge. There is a small private deck off the living room with seating and a BBQ grill. Love watching the seals sunning themselves at low tide on the sand bars near the bridge. The condo is lovely and well stocked with all kitchen and other needs. A plus is that you have access to your own one car garage. Kathleen and Gary are gracious hosts that make the stay even better. We will definitely return for future stays.

The condo is lovely and has a beautiful view of bridge, bay and ocean. The Hosts are kind, thoughtful, responsive, and gracious. There isn’t a detail left out in the condo, fully equip with every convenience of home & more (includes a private deck & garage). The place is tastefully decorated, comfortable, and very relaxing. The condo is located between Newport and Yachats, with easy access to the beach, bay, restaurants, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and so much more. We've stayed at Puma Point multiple times. Just finished another weekend at the apartment, yet again, was fantastic! Well furnished, super comfortable king size bed, full kitchen and bathroom. Kathleen and Gary provide kitchen essentials, a jar of homemade jam, q-tips, makeup wipes, etc. The things I seem to always forget. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is also great for our longer stays. This morning, we watched eagles fly near our private balcony. We'll be back again!!!

This beautiful and well-appointed condo is even better in person with panoramic views including the ocean from the large bedroom. The vaunted ceilings and open floor plan, along with the sweeping scenery, make it feel even larger. There’s a private bay of the garage and entrance to the place that’s above. It’s a perfect place for a romantic getaway.

This was our first and hopefully not our last visit to Puma Point. The condo, although situated over the garage of the main house, was a private getaway for us. The hosts were available to offer assistance as needed, but were very unobtrusive.
We found the condo to be immaculate and welcoming, with a well equipped kitchen and the living space was comfortable and cozy.
The views of the river, bridge and ocean are stunning, and the overall location was great for day trips & exploring the beautiful Oregon coast.
We are looking forward to a return visit in the future.

DesThis 3 day stay at Puma Point was our last of several prior visits. Each visit has been unique, varying from a bright sunny day to a wind swept storm. This one was wet and windy. It would have been comfortable to stay in this well appointed apartment with ranging views of the bay over the Alsea Bay Bridge or over the expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Instead, we ventured south down highway 101 to several viewpoints to experience the large and powerful ocean waves crashing against the rocky coast line. By the end of our outing we were drenched from both the driving rain and ocean mist from the surging waves. This was just another truly enjoyable and memorable stay.

This was our second trip back to Puma Point in the last couple of years. Obviously we enjoyed our stay at this beautifully appointed apartment. From a separated enclosed garage which is so nice staying at the coast to the perfectly designed apartment which has every feature a person needs. The kitchen area is great!
As hosts Gary and Kathleen have great advice on what’s happening on the coast and for sights to check out.
Look forward to another stay in the near future for some peace and relaxation.

Kathleen and Gary are wonderful hosts, kind, warm and eager to recommend nearby attractions and activities. This is a new, immaculate, beautiful and huge condo situated above the three car garage adjacent to their home, with separate entrance, large and fully stocked kitchen, and beautiful views of the bay and ocean. Every morning we watched seals hunting for salmon as we sipped our coffee from our deck. We will be back for sure!

Waldport, Oregon, feels like nature is showing off. The wind-shaped trees look like natural sculptures, and the rolling fog adds a touch of mystery, as it constantly shows and then hides the rugged coastline. The beaches here are something else—vast and powerful, with waves that remind you just how wild and beautiful this place is. We watched them for hours. It’s a spot that leaves you in quiet awe.

Our Airbnb hosts, Kathleen and Gary, were top-notch. We had gotten married earlier in the day, and they even left us some pie and champagne to celebrate—such a perfect way to end our special day!

Their guest space is open and airy, offering a feeling of serenity and respite. Everything is well thought out from a logistical standpoint, and you can’t beat the location. We’re already planning our next trip!

Gary and Kathleen your views were better then expected. The condo has everything we needed to relax and cook full meals including a variety of spices, oh did I mention the views. And the fact it doesn't have the big beach traffic and is in the middle of Newport and Yachats. Easy to get around. Also they had an adorable bed for our daughter.

This is genuinely the best vacation rental we have experienced, and we travel often. It was well decorated, beautiful views from every room, your own garage parking space, within 30 min to several cute towns, has every amenity you could need and kind hosts. We have been to many barren AirBNBs/VRBOs but this rental felt like you were staying at a friend’s. Extremely well stocked kitchen and bathroom. 10/10 would highly recommend.

The views of this wonderful vacation rental are fabulous! It is sparkling clean with nice linens and a very comfortable king bed. We had everything we needed to cook a meal in the kitchen. We loved watching the sunsets and hiking down to the beach. You won't want to leave!

Puma Point is a fantastic option if you’re looking for a relaxing time at the beach in a laid back part of the central Oregon coast. The location allows easy access to Alsea Bay. There are a number of nearby hikes at Cape Perpetua with outstanding views. The condo is very tastefully decorated. The living room is set near a patio deck that has an amazing view of Alsea Bay. The kitchen is equipped with a full set of appliances and has plenty of space for cooking/meal prep during your stay. The bedroom is relaxing and is situated to offer the perfect view for an evening sunset. Overall, this condo will not disappoint if you're looking for a relaxing or adventurous getaway to the Oregon Coast.
